As part of a book cover illustration project, I reimagined George Saunders’ A Swim In The Pond In The Rain through my own artistic lens. The design spans both the front and back covers, each crafted to echo the spirit of the title. The front portrays a somber, rain-drenched scene that carries a sense of mystery, as if the pond itself is holding untold stories beneath its surface. For the back cover, I softened the tone with a simpler composition, infused with elegance and a touch of magic, creating balance and contrast. Together, the two covers weave a visual interpretation that captures both the weight and wonder of Saunders’ words, inviting the reader to step into a world where rain becomes poetry.
